highontv: No this isn’t a behind the scenes photograph from War Horse, this is real life. This was the terrifying moment a brave young mother battled to keep her beloved horse calm as sea water closed in on the animal after he became trapped in mud ‘like quicksand’.  It may be because I’m reading War Horse at this moment, but I got all teary eyed watching these photographs and reading the story.  It’s also very reminiscent of The Neverending Story.  Oh my god, this is so inspiring and now I’m sitting here sniffling, haha. Thanks for posting it, that woman is really brave to have stayed with her horse in that situation. It must have been terrifying and I’m so glad they got out alright!
